baze.djunkiii Charts 12/2k24

01. Stefan Goldmann - Scale & Scope [Edition Kymata 002]
All eyes on the format! With "Scale & Scope" we see Stefan Goldmann unleash a 4x Flexdisc 7" set via Edition Kymata, exploring a sonic realm of chiming experimental Ambient and Electroacoustic music with a slightly vintage retrofuturistic twist backed by surprisingly present and all embracing low frequency movements which we thought to be unrepresentable on this specific sound carrier format. Highly recommended.

02. Various Artists - Fabric presents The Streets [Fabric 220]
Finally. Mike Skinner a.k.a. The Streets, UK Garage and UK Urban pioneer and legend, curates a 2LP compilation for Fabric London and not only gives us one of the finest selections of UK Bass material including two exclusive The Streets' tracks and one exclusive Mike Skinner piece but also one of the heaviest Grime cuts we've heard in a while - Coki & Leotrix feat. Flowdan - "DIY *Old Skool Mix" - as well a majorly uplifting Drum'n'Bass anthem for a closing with EMZ feat. Nasser & Valor's "Free". Defo an essential one, this.

03. Various Artists - Adrenakore 08 [Adrenakore 008]
Tongue-in-cheek, yet hard to the core. Supposedly limited to 80 copies in translucent pink vinyl this 12" compilation caters an array of six tracks by the Adrenakore Family, Gyzmo, Neuroleptik and Xema Le Sal Timbank, all on the cheeky side of Hardcore fusing extreme Rave sounds, distorted uptempo terror and other forms of sonic violence with surprisingly catchy elements, ripping off classic Rave anthems, Eurodance hypercheese and even 2000s R'n'B acts like Destiny's Child to create some kind of an undeniably charming Novelty Hardcore x Speedcore mini compilation one simply cannot not like, love and add to his or her personal collection.

04. Quench - Dreams [Dance On The Beat 021]
One of our favorite Trance x HardTrance anthems from all the way back in 1993 re-released for 2k24. Quench "Dreams" is once again available in its most unique, dark and enchanting form which is its 'Original Mix' alongside three additional variations, pressed on pure white vinyl via the Italian imprint that is Dance On The Beat which has done quite an amazing job in bring back beloved classics over the past years.

05. E De Cologne - Rouge De Colere 09 [Rouge De Colere 009]
A trip to the oldskool, this one is. Under the supervision of Paris' famed Toolbox Records imprint and recordshop the ninth iteration of the Rouge De Colere label and series unearthes a total of seven tracks from the archives of E De Cologne, the legendary project of Mono Tone, Shockwave Recordings, Spite and Midi War fame. With four of them previously only available on a rare self-released underground CD-r compilation and two unreleased cuts E De Cologne covers musical grounds from dark'ish and desolate, yet somewhat elastic Industrial Electronics x Illbient - think: Electric Ladyland compilations on Mille Plateaux, DJ Spooky and others - to raw uncompromising Atari Gabber, hefty Breakcore Phonk x Rhythm Industrial crossover tunes, brutalist Speedcore and way beyond and therefore provides excellent fodder for the most relentless underground jocks out there.
