Released digitally via Sascha Müller's very own Psychocandies imprint on July 5th, 2k24 is "J A M 14.02.2024", the result of an actual jam session which went down between the label owner and long-standing purveyor of quality electronic music himself and Meppen-based underground producer Manfred Reckers a.k.a. Duality Micro earlier this year. Split into two tracks we see "J A M 14.02.2024 A" on an untamed basement Acid tip fusing raw and busy midrange Acid modulations with wild and surprisingly jazzy percussion rides, heavy feedbacks and almost 'troity stab sequences for the wee hours of the night whereas "J A M 14.02.2024 B" brings on absolute peaktime vibes with its hard-hitting, expertly sculpted bass drums, Chicago jack referencing offbeat percussion elements and shrieking high frequency modulations which are best consumed on dancefloors shrouded in thick fog and a barrage of high-capacity strobe lights. This is good stuff.
