Konstrukt & Otomo Yoshihide - Eastern Saga: Live At Tusk [Karlrecords 079 Promo]

Scheduled for release via the ever active Karlrecords-imprint on August 28th, 2k20 is "Eastern Saga: Live At Tusk" which sees the Turkish FreeJazz collective Konstrukt teaming up with long standing Japanese composer Otomo Yoshihide for a live double feature starting with "Fire Dance", a piece slowly evolving from stripped down bass figures and somewhat nightly oriental atmospheres towards picture'esque Jazz Noir and, further down the line, a well complex, screaming, thundering FreeJazz / Free Improv crescendo which turns into a wall-of-sound informed ProgRock jam later whereas "The Myth" weighs in more of a deeper approach, pairing free floating PostRock elements with longing Jazz sequences for a classy late night listening experience.
