Deserta - Black Aura My Sun [Felte Records 064 Promo]

Scheduled for release via Felte Records on January 17, 2k20 is "Black Aura My Sun", the debut album by Matthew Doty most recent musical outing named Deserta. Influenced by the fact that he was about to become a father at the time the production for the album took place the Saxon Shore-member took off to embark on a seven track journey which is taking him deep into the grey area in between SynthPop, Shoegaze and subaquatic DreamPop. With hazy, washed out harmonies, a drum kit tuned to resemble the distinct sound of the 80s and reverberating vocals at the very back end of the mix we see Deserta creating a blurred sonic dreamscape for emotional, inward looking listening sessions or introspective moments on Wave / Indie dancefloors as provided with songs like "Monica" or "Be So Blue" which we could both imagine to be included in Trentemøller's DJ-set as soon as they're released.
