Trupa Trupa - Headache [Blue Tapes And X-Ray Records Promo]
Coming all the way from Poland is "Headache", the latest album effort by Trupa Trupa which has been put on the circuit via the UK-based imprint Blue Tapes And X-Ray Records in early March 2015. Consisting of Grzegorz Kwiatkowski, Tomek Pawluczuk,
Wojtek Juchniewicz and Rafał Wojczal the quadruple pack of artists serves a well-captivating musical journey on their third full length piece, balancing right between 60s Psychedelia, heavy Southern Rock, massive wall-of-noise influences, aggressive, yet introverted Grunge-related sound aesthetics, bits and pieces of (No)Wave as well as even incorporating the sonic experimentalism of the PostPunk flirting with Dub era, especially to be found in the echo and reverb-heavy SlowCore anthem "Getting Older" which is perfectly depicting the process of doom and decay through dark soundscapes and fever'ish repetition whilst the tender ballad "Give 'Em All" introduces a romanticism undreamt of in Trupa Trupa's sonic spectrum and "Wasteland" seemingly deals with despair and post-apocalyptic blues, stacking up layers and layers of noise to a spine-tingling effect. But these songs are only a few selected examples and snapshots from a much greater musical journey that is "Headache", an album well recommended as maximum volume companion throughout dark'n'grey November days or even a full on dystopian future to come.
