Scheduled for October 25th via SuperKamiokandeDetektor is "Jetzt Ist Es Kaputt", the next and new release of Goldner Anker who serve three exclusive melodious and noise-driven IndiePunk-pieces with a special, smoky twist, crossing over into PostPunk'ish realms in their quieter, calmer moments, topped by totally unprocessed and hyper-fragile female vocal efforts meandering - as all the songs here - between stick-in-your-ear qualities and raw riot girl StreetPunk attitude. These vocals also roll on top of a threatening, bass heavy, Jungle-reminiscing but still Dubstep-rooted remix work served by Jkube who took over the controls taking care of their debut album-featured song "Only You" here, being the fourth cut on this highly recommendable EP piece who is clearly aiming at the club crowd with his quite surprising re-interpretation. Sweet one.

P Money & Blacks - Hater
Another sweet - and sweetly ironic - Grime piece I've been stumbling upon on youtube recently. Pretty dope lyrics as well and that facial expressions they're sporting in that vid are nothing but shattering. Tune!

Aloa Input - Anysome [Morr Music Promo]
Scheduled for release on October 18th via Morr Music is "Anysome", the label debut of the triple-headed all star band named Aloa Input. Consisting of members of Joasihno, Missent To Denmark and Angela Aux this ratpack serves a thirteen track journey from intimate, close to the action IndieFolk with a twist to playful, partly toy-sounding experimentation, multivox harmonies and even tense, exotic excursions like "Rubbish" that fuses a jungle'esque, tribal vibe with artless, innocent vocal works whilst "This Must Be The Age" comes up with a more carribbean twist. Needless to say that there are more - real or artificial - reference points to be found in this omnium-gatherum of an album that even winks at Psychedelia at some and to a certain point, rejects any stylistic borders and is as innocent as children playing in the sand on a lazy summer afternoon. Which is nice.

Wouter De Moor - Lectures E.P. [Poker Flat Recordings 142 Promo]
Poker Flat Recordings steps out into the realm of more technoid, 'troity flavour with the soon to be release of Wouter De Moor's "Lectures E.P.", who - despite being dutch - kicks off in a very US-american, wild pitch driven way whilst the legendary man Theo Parrish, also featured as full on a capella 6+ minutes bonus speech on this 12", drops some serious knowledge about the art of dj-ing and jacking off and all that on the A-side, followed by a dry and raw but well frolicking oldskool House cut named "8 Voice" that keeps things real on the dancefloor, causing a buzz with its catchy basslines and sharp claps. On the flip we'll find the previously mentioned a cappella tool as well as an anthemic "Lectures" rework by the great Kirk Degiorgio who really kicks punters asses with his huge, slightly modulating stabs, 808-alike toms and expertly crafted vocal transformation. Killer piece. Essential.

Geko [USG] - New Stuff On The Circuit.
Just in case you've missed the news that one of the UK's most talented and - yes! - youngest Grime / Rap artists has put some new audio out for street rotation. And I'm deeply diggin' that.

12.10.2013 A Tribute To Peter Bellendir @ Westwerk / Hamburg
Peter Bellendir, Drummer.

The Truth About The Interwebs.
The nature of the internet is that one
thing quickly leads to another and before you know it, you’ve spent 45
minutes watching YouTube videos about foxes.
Stumbled upon these wise words while checking out Grassrootsy.com for some useful info today. Actually I didn't look for this kind of wisdom, but most evidently the truth lies within these simple words. One cat leads to another. Trust me.

Falling - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack [Shhhh Records 010 Promo]
Reaching the two digit mark in a steadily growing string of releases the Mettmann-based Shhhh Records seems to have reached a turning point with this release - a full on band album of Improvised Jazz that was produced by its four members Turgut Kocer, Helge Neuhaus, Frederik Groborsch and Gabriel Masterson without ever meeting in one place for rehearsal or recording sessions but throughout emulating the live situation whilst sharing files via the interwebs. The result is an expertly crafted, deeply chilled and well nocturnal sounding album for those loving some serious drinks in proper bars whilst listening to the darker side of Future Jazz partly represented by Bugge Wesseltoft's New Conceptions Of Jazz project or the legendary and well moody Showroom Recordings run by Patrick Pulsinger and Erdem Tunakan. To embroider this landmark release even more the label decided to produce only a limited run of 100 green vinyl copies which are both accompanied by an additional art print as well as the bonus CD album "Meanwhile At The Working Station: B-Sides And Rare Recordings" featuring another 15 tracks of 60+ minutes run time that are rounding off this release pretty well, covering a musical range from more Ambient-flovered and motion picture soundtrack´-related short cuts to raw'ish Improv jams, athmospheric Uptempo Jazz with surprising twists and turns as well as some deeply melancholic, blues-driven vocal pieces. Good one. Drink Sours or Old Fashioneds to this.

01. Lustmord - The Word As Power [Blackest Ever Black]
Without any doubt the darkest, deepest, most ecclesiastic and ritualistic, the most intense and the most beautiful album released in 2013 so far. Stripped down Dark Ambient meets Black Listening meets vocals of a sacred impression, telling tales from beyond time and space, unveiling inner thoughts of the early ancestors and unrolling dark, tense athmospheres that seem to go back to the days before manhood even existed. This is music that touches the deep, ever vibrating core of every human being out there and it'd be interesting to find out what kind of story lies under the surface of these sparse, nearly isolationist layers of sound. Maybe the wise men of australian aboriginal descent can tell as - listening to "The Word As Power" over and over again - this album kinda brings their conception of dreamtime to mind as the whole album seems to morph, warp, bend and transform the regular space-time-continuum on a specific level. Great.
02. The Toten Crackhuren Im Kofferraum - Mama, Ich Blute [Destiny / Aggropop]
The TCHICK as these chicks do name themselves in an abbreviated form really got me by the balls whilst reviewing their album for FAZE Magazine with the result of a straightaway 10 out of 10 rating for being unique, funny, ironic and fresh as a fuck. Somewhere between a sweet as candy hyperpink bubblegum, dirty ElectroPunk and a wasted german youth rrriot girrrl attitude. Makes my day whenever I put this vinyl on. Must have.
03. DJ Rashad - I Don't Give A Fuck [Hyperdub 075]
Actually it's not a secret that I've got a thing for GhettoTech and ElectroBass - as you can easily hear in this mix - and so it's obvious that getting addicted to Footwork and Juke is the next logical step in following the evolution of Chicago Basement Music and any kind of Detroit Booty Tech. Both of them are served by DJ Rashad and his collaborational partners DJ Spinn, Freshmoon and DJ Manny in absolute and forward looking perfection whilst bringing in echoes of long gone Jungle and an overall feel reminiscing of the urban sound of London around 1993 or maybe 1994. This is beat abstraction on a deeper, sex driven level. Plus: the title track is uber-tense 23rd century gangster music which I'd love to hear blasting through a massive system. Let them bang.
04. Classic Jams [Poker Flat Recordings Promo]
Listen to this 10 minutes strong megamix and see review for details...
05. Rampue - Let's Be Kids Again [Audiolith 179 Promo]
This one was already recommended on these pages on the day of its release for spreading nothing but love and tender care. Four tracks - each of them a musical love story and the blueprint for what will go down in history books as Romantic House, a new genre, a new variation in House music brought to us via Rampue as its undisputed pioneering master. Check soundfiles here...
06. Trentemøller - Lost [In My Room Promo]

07. Air Texture Volume III selected by Deadbeat & DJ Olive [Air Texture 003 Promo]
It's alway nice to see some really top notch Ambient floating around as sometimes one needs to step back from music with dancefloor or any kind of beat driven approach and - as some of you might already know - I desparately miss the days in which each and every party used to have a second floor or at least a ChillOut / Ambient room catering interesting, mostly embracingly organic, calm but also advanced and eclectic music for those who needed a break, so there's no way for me to dislike this one. Compiled by Deadbeat & DJ Olive each artist is responsible for one part of this double pack, selecting his favorite tracks for a journey through mostly beatless realms. Whilst Deadbeat surprisingly focuses on the real Ambient, relaxed and undisturbed side of things - if one accepts Tobias. "Subterranean" as one of the rare exceptions with its harsh, filtered Noise parts and metallic sounds intertwining with relaxing string pieces - catered by the likes of Pole, Thomas Fehlmann, Loops Of Your Heart or Blue Fields we see DJ Olive exploring the experimental, sometimes even intellectualized side of electronic listening music. With experimentalists like Phil Niblock, Jim O'Rourke, Fennesz, Raz Mesinai - known to the bass addicted world under his Badawi moniker -, Ikue Mori or Oren Ambarchi on the bill this list of contributing artists is nothing but mouthwatering dish for every lover of Drone and / or Experimental Ambient. Therefore essential.
08. Wardrobe Memories - The Mean [Voluntary Whores Promo]
See review for details...
09. Ascon Bates & Harmond Age - Brainorety / Authorety [Drug Machine Inc. 002 Whitelabel]
Pretty thrilling uptempo piece of slightly Acid-driven MinimalTechno with - this goes especially for the untitled A1 piece here - addictive vocal sample abuse whilst the second tune on this stamped underground whitelabel is a highly functional tune also to be filed under the MinimalTechno-flag but leaves out vocals and Acid, focusing on a darker, heavily pumping late night feel. Quite a good choice, although the flipside features the same tunes again - a phenomenon that I still don't exactly get.
10. Echo Inspectors - Ghost Flight [Primary (Colours) 002 Promo]
The Australian Primary (Colours)-imprint gets as dubby as dubby can get with this highly limited red vinyl 12". The original "Ghost Flight" is a deep, kinda Ambient'ish excursion into original Dub-flavored electronic music that can be filed under the flag of DubTechno for sure but has more of chilled non-4/4 vibe to it and is about nothing else but floating, organic bass meditation. On the flipside the legendary DubTechno-producing duo Salz takes care of "Ghost Flight" remixwise, transferring the whole thing into a more dancefloor driven context, including basslines as deep as the Grand Canyon and as wide as a desert. With their addition of a few sparse, but positive offbeat licks and skeletal modulations this one surely is about to make some waves on the dancefloor.

Downliners Sekt - Balt Shakt [InFine Promo]
Scheduled for October 14th is the next teaser single announcing the near arrival of the forthcoming Downliners Sekt album in early 2014 via InFine . Filling this time gap we see Downliners Sekt embracing the 4/4 bassdrum and surface noise induced DubTechno with two variations of their tune "Balt Shakt" which are featured on this vinyl only release. Whilst the first version serves a playful use of offbeat drum shots and ethnic vocal samples building a kind of ritual tension on advanced dancefloors familiar with certain levels of abstraction we see the second track layout embracing the uptempo beat of straight Future Garage, mixing that up with the hissing echoes and endless reverbs, floating away on spiralling filters and killing crowds with an ever growing energy that most interestingly never reaches a full climax but even adds some sweet, dreamy and well-calming pianos in the last quarter of the tune, emphasizing on Downliners Sekt's unique way of approaching the dancefloor. Good one.

Sascha Müller [Supersix Records Extra 013]
Forthcoming soon on Sascha Müller's very own Supersix Records Extra-imprint is his 13th untitled album in a series of many which starts with a pretty surprising and close to psychedelic twist on top of dry TechHouse beats underpinning floating synth structures and quite still abstract sound modulations before turning into a dubby affair with the second track. Starting from there on we'll find wobbly, frolicking Acid(Trance) for the laser and strobe crew, jumping high speed Techno with ever functional signal modulations, heavy, braincell squeezing MonoAcid and deep Electronica that clearly refers to the works of great and influential acts like Future Sound Of London ("Ausgang"). Furthermore there is playful Techno with trancey strings and tribal attitude - "Bels" -, Minimal Techno as defined by its early originators like Robert Hood and DBX is as well to be found here, alongside even more electronic niceness. Needless to say that this one's pretty good again as is 95% percent of Sascha Müller's output.
